May 27, 2024: NGO Federation of Nepal (NFN) successfully conducted a Capacity Development Training for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Karnali province on May 27th and 28th. Around 30 representatives from NFN member organizations and CSOs across Karnali province attended the training in Surkhet, which aimed at equipping CSOs with essential skills and knowledge for resource mobilization and policy advocacy. The two-day training covered topics such as fundraising, donor engagement, proposal writing, project implementation, and monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning framework. By the end of the training, participants were capacitated in these areas, fostering collaborative learning and networking across districts. The ultimate objective is to empower CSOs to actively engage in local policymaking processes, ensuring that their voices are not just heard, but profoundly acknowledged. The training marked one step ahead in cultivating a dynamic and resilient civil society sector—a sector capable of catalyzing meaningful change and sustainable development.
